Ademco Programming Cheat Sheet
Ademco Programming is quite simple. First you enter programming mode by using your Installer Code Then Code Key "8" Then 00. Some Vista Series Systems you anly need one 1 "0". Please refere to your installation guide.
Once in programming do the following. * + Field Number fills the field in Or Changes the value of the field. # + Field Number makes the system read the field values back to you.
The following are the basic Ademco programming setup values for A Vista 10Se. These
Fields Need Changing From Default Values.

Programming Section Or Page 2 Of Programming. First Enter * + 56 And You Will See Another
Screen Sometimes That Says Custom Alpha Descriptors. Just Hit " * " To Continue.
You Will Then See " ZONE 1" On Your Display. If You Wish To Setup Another Zone
Other Than 1 Simple Enter That 2 Digit Zone Number Here And Hit " * " To
Continue. You Will Then See A Screen Which We Call A Zone Value Screen. That Tells You What If Any The Zone Is Setup For. ZN=Zone# RP=Report Code ZT=Zone Type PT=Partition # IF Panel Has Partitions IF YOU HAVE WIRELESS THE FOLLOWING APPLIES= RF=RF Transmitter Type. L=Sensor Loop Of That Particular Transmitter. Hit " *" You Will Then See ZONE TYPE. Below Are The Most Common Zone Types. Please Refere To Your Installation Or Programming Instructions For Other Zone Types. 00=NOT USED Once You Have Set The Zone Type Hit " * " You Will Be In Your Report Code Setup Screen. You Want A 10 On The Right Of Each Zone Weither You HAve Central Station Or Not. The Report Screen Will Look Like The Following. 00 - 00 - 10 If The Screen Reads All "0"'s Thes Simply Hit "01" And A "10" Will Appear On The Right Of Your Screen. Once You Have A "10" On The Right Of Your Screen Hit " * " If You Are Programming A Wireless Device The System Will Prompt You To Enroll The
Wireless Device ID Number. If Yes Press "1" The Zone Number That Your Working On Will Appear As IE: ZONE
01. You Will Now Be At The Next Zone You Wish To Programe. If You Want Another Zone Than The One Displayed Simple Enter The Zone Number And Hit Star, Then Follow The * + 56 Instructions Again. Thats it for Ademco Programming. The Ademco Lynx Is About The Same Just In *+56 Zone Programming You Will Follow "A B C D E" These Letters Will Tell You Where In Star 56 You Are At.
