CADDX Programming Cheat Sheet.

Print And Keep With Your CADDX Paperwork. 

• Enter Program Mode – “ * + 8 + 9713 + 0 + # You Are In Program Mode.

•  The Armed LED Will Light Steady Indicating It Is Waiting For A Programming Location. (All Keypads)

•  Enter Location Number Then “#” If Location # Is Valid The Armed LED Will Go Out And The Ready Light Will Come On.

•  “#” To Exit Program Mode.

•  All Caddx Programming Is Done With Locations And Segments.

•  Once in a section each segment has a multiple values listed in the installation manual.

• The Values 1-8 are Indicated On/Off By The Zone LED’s Lit Up Or Shows Numbers 1-8 On Or Off   On The LCD Display. Just Push The Numbers On The Keypad Corresponding to what you want on or off.

• Also Enter The Data That Needs To Be In That Segment IE: 1^St Number Of The Telephone #. Segment 2 2^Nd Number Of A Telephone #. ETC. [Number Of Segments Will Vary.]

•  Locations With Segments With Features Example:

• Location 4

•  Segment 1 Change Feature # Using Your Number Keys Then Hit “*”

• Segment 2 Change Feature # Using Your Number Keys Then Hit “*”

• Segment 3 Change Feature # Using Your Number Keys Then Hit “*”

• Segment 4 Change Feature # Using Your Number Keys Then Hit “*”

• End Of Section 1 Hit # To Back Out

•  Locations With Segments Without Features Example.

•  Location 0

• First Central Phone Number Enter “001” Then 1*8*0*0*1*2*3*4*5*6*7*14* Then Hit # To Back And Enter New Location. 14 Signifies That Is The End Of The Phone Number. 

• Enter Next Section Number.

•  First Zone Definitions, Most Common CADDX Types Are:

•  0=Not Used (Any Zones Currently Not In Use.)

• 3=Delay (Any door you Lock And Unlock The House With.)

• 6=Instant (All Zones Not Motions Or Fire Or Delay.)

• 5=Interior (All Motion Detectors.)

• 8=Fire (All Smoke Or Heat Or CO Gas Detectors.) 

•  Let’s Do Zones 1-8.  Below Is A Typical Zone List.

• Zone        Description                            Definition
  1               Front Door                             1-Delay
  2               Front Window                       3-Instant
  3               Back Door                              3-Instant
  4               Glass Break                            3-Instant
  5               Motion                                    4-Interior
  6               Smoke Detectors                   8-Fire
  7               Heat Detectors                      8-Fire
  8               CO Gas Detector                   8-Fire

•  Enter Location 25 Enter 1*3*3*3*4*8*8*8* Location 25 Comes Up. Enter New Location Or Change Location 26. The Caddx NX8 Is A 8- Partition Panel So You Have To Assign What Zone Is Tied To What Partition. The System IS Defaulted All Zones To Partition 1.

•  If A Zone Is Not Used Just Enter A “0” In For That Zone.

• Example: 1-3-3-0-4-8-0-8 [Now Zones 4 And 7 Are Not Used].

•  “#” To Exit Program Mode.

•  To Refresh: You Must “*” All Segments Completely For The System To Save The Changes.

•  Step 1= Enter Location

• Step 2= Star Through The Segments, Change Data.. 

• Step 3= # To Exit Programming.
