Features:
OPERATING FREQUENCY: 345 MHZ
UL COMMERCIAL FIRE:
Yes
Rated for Commercial Fire listing if dip switch #5 is enabled
HIGH-SECURITY ENCRYPTION Yes
DETAILS - Allows protection from "code-grabbing" where a code
grabber could receive the signal from a keyfob and retransmit to disarm the system later.
For use with high-security encrypted devices. Limit of up to 16 encrypted devices. Dip
switch #1 must be enabled, and then can only be used with encrypted devices.
MEMORY BUFFER 8 Events
DETAILS - Receiver buffer can hold 8
events, if more than that come in at once, they might be lost
UL COMMERCIAL BURG Yes
SPATIAL DIVERSITY SYSTEM Yes
DETAILS - Unique system designed
to virtually eliminate the possibility of "nulls" and "dead spots"
with regard to Radio Frequency (RF) transmitters
OPERATING TEMPERATURE
32F-122F
DATE CODE LOCATION
DETAILS - The date code is
located on the circuit board pirnted in black ink. There is a letter which represents the
year and a three digit number which identifies the day. Example: If the stamped date code
was A002, this board was manufactured on January 2, 1998. G= 2004 F = 2003 E = 2002 D =
2001 C = 2000 B = 1999 A = 1998 Z = 1997 Y = 1996 X = 1995
TAMPER No
MOUNTING SPECIFICATIONS
DETAILS - The receiver can be
mounted either in the can with the panel, in a seperate can, or remotely from the control
in its own surface mount plastic case. If mounting remotely, be sure to mount the receiver
at least 10ft from the control or any keypad to avoid any interference from the
microprocessors in these units.. For best results, mount in a higher location than the
transmitters.
ANTENNA
DETAILS - 2 vertical antennas, to
be mounted in right hand side of terminals.
ADDRESSABLE KEYPADS Up To 16
DETAILS - The receiver will
support up to 16 wireless keypads.
5800 RF ZONE EXPANSION
Maximize panel's capacity.
DETAILS - The number of zones that the 5883H receiver can support depends on
number of wireless zones the panel will support.
ADDRESSABLE 0-7
DETAILS - Addressable for address
0 thru 7 using dip switches 2-4. Also sets address for built-in TM module for 27-30.
SIGNAL SENTRY
YES, Dip 5
DETAILS - When dip #5 is on, this enables this
mode on the receiver. All the transmitters send 5 bursts of data when they check in.
Normally a receiver must only receive one of these bursts. When the "Signal
Sentry" mode is enabled, the receiver drops to 1/2 strength after receiving the first
burst, and must receive a second burst at half strength, otherwise it disregards that
check in. It stays at half strength for a few seconds, then goes back to normal.
SITE ID Yes
DETAILS - The Site ID number is a
unique number that is factory programmed into each 5883. This number is
"learned" into devices such as the 5839.
OPERATING VOLTAGE 12VDC
BI-DIRECTIONAL WIRELESS Yes
DETAILS - Built in transmitter
module Set by dip switches The status of any one partition can be transmitted. The status
will follow the partition assignment in device programming for the tm module. This applies
to control were the tm module is assigned in device programming to addresses 28,29,30 as
an alpha console. NOTE: The Bi-directional portion of the 5839 does not utilize the built
in TM module. It uses the Site ID protocol.
OPERATING CURRENT 80mA
RF JAM DETECTION Yes
DETAILS - This receiver can
detect a condition that may impede proper RF reception if it is enabled in panel
programming.
DIMENSIONS
DETAILS - 7-3/8"W x
4-3/8"H (10-7/8" w/antennas) x 1-7/16"D, 188mm W x 112mm H (277mm
w/antennas) x 37mm D

Removing RF Keypads
1. Remove power from the
transceiver. 2. Place Dip switch 1 in "OFF"(down) position, and Dip switch 8 in
the "ON"(up). 3. Power transceiver back up. 4. Observe the RED LED comes on and
stays on. This is the LED to the right of the yellow LED in the center of the PCB. 5. Set
dip switches 1 - 8 in their opposite position. 6. Return dip switches 1 - 8 back to
starting position. The RED LED will extinguish and all enrolled wireless keypads will be
removed from transceiver. 7. Remove power, set dip switch 8 back down. Make sure all dips
are in correct position before re-apply power. NOTE: When trying to enroll the site ID
into the keypad and is not learning in, check the red LED in top left corner of 5883. When
on the "waiting for message" screen, if it flickers when pressing * key, it is
seeing the signal from and keypad and is processing the request. If the LED comes on for 1
sec then turns off, something is wrong. Can try deleting any keypads from receiver and try
to learn again.
