The Wall Dimmer Module is designed to control incandescent loads with arating of between 40W
and 500W. Lamps rated below 40W may flicker or operate erratically. Apushbutton is provided for
local on/off control. A power cut-off switch located directly below thelocal on/off pushbutton is
provided for bulb changing. Both switches should line up for normaloperation.
Note: Wall Dimmer Modules must not be used to control appliances orfluorescent lamps.
Manual push button control allows on/off. Dimming is performed only byX-10 PRO commands.
The red dial is House Code (A-P), the black dial is Unit Code (1-16).
Installing the Wall Dimmer Module
• Disconnect power at the circuit breaker.
• Remove switch plate and unscrew existing switch from its box.
• Disconnect the wiring to the existing switch.
• Connect the blue wire of the Wall Dimmer Module to Live, the blackwire to Switched live (load)
using the wire nuts provided. Refer to the diagram above.
Setting up the Wall Dimmer Module
• Set the House Code dial to the same letter set on the controller orSecurity Console. The House
Code for monitored security console is downloaded by the securityinstallation firm. The default
House Code is 'A' when using the PRO2000.
• For normal lighting control, set the Unit Code dial to an unusedcode which can be controlled
from the controller or an RF remote such as the Security Remote, PSR01(switches 1-4 control
Unit Codes 1-4).
• To use as the security light, set the Unit Code to the match theUnit Code of the security
console. The Unit Code for monitored security consoles is downloaded bythe security
installation firm. The default Unit Code is '13' when using the PRO2000.
Note: The security light is the light which is flashed on/off duringan alarm and is controlled by
the security LIGHT ON and LIGHT OFF buttons on the console, keychain andsecurity
